Completed his board exam in 1994 and completed his articles with PwC. On 1 December 2004 he joined Cashbuild as the Financial Director, with 10 years working experience specifically in the retail sector. On 1 March 2011 he was appointed as the Marketing and Procurement Director. On 1 March 2012 he was appointed as the Chief Executive.

Has 24 years retail operations experience, Fifteen years operating in the neighbouring countries and joined Cashbuild in August 2005. He was appointed Operations Director on 27 March 2007.

Has been appointed to the board as executive director responsible for Commercial and Marketing, with effect from 2 April 2018. He obtained his CA(SA) qualification in 1994 and completed his articles with PwC. Wimpie joined Cashbuild in April 2008 and has been responsible for various functions, with the last 6 years as Procurement Executive.

Hanré completed his articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003 where he also specialised in taxation as a multi-disciplined tax practitioner. Prior to joining Cashbuild as the Chief Financial Officer, he held senior finance positions in the distribution & warehousing sectors of the Building & Construction industry as well as Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
