Cashbuild Donated Building Materials to Khanani Primary School

As part of the International Mandela Day Programme, Cashbuild donated building materials to a rural school in Limpopo.

It is with great pleasure to announce that the refurbishment has now been completed. Khanani Primary School is situated in Limpopo in a village called Menele, Ka-Madonsi, near Malamulele town. The school’s enrollment stands at 515, served by 14 teachers.

The school’s infrastructure was built a while back using mud, and as a result, it was now in a terrible state of disrepair. During the rainy season, the roof leaked, and it was a concern for the school. Together with the School Governing Body, the school had approached Cashbuild for building material assistance to help with refurbishing and renovating the school. Cashbuild generously donated building material to the value of R77 000 to help improve the school.

The school Principal, Mr Thomas Maluleke expressed gratitude to Cashbuild for this donation. “The school has never been renovated since it was built many, many years ago. It was a pleasure dealing with Cashbuild employees, especially Mr Michael Nare at the Store in Malamulele and Miss Tiyani Makhamisi at head office. This is so amazing, and we as school management will always recommend Cashbuild in any building materials to our fellow community members at large.”

Cashbuild’s CSI Manager, Mr Thembelani Tukwayo, said: “We continue to invest in education, and this was such an important way to pay homage to Tatu’Mandela. We hope the community will look after this infrastructure and will also lead to improved academic performance by pupils.”
