The community of Tonga, in Mpumalanga, hosted the last Khula Nathi Workshop. The event, held on the 11th November 2021, forms part of Cashbuild’s community support initiative programmes.
It was attended by 16 local brick and block makers who came from all surrounding areas of this sun-baked Lowveld town.
Brick and block maker business owners from around the community came in numbers to learn, engage and absorb all the knowledge they could get. One attendee expressed happiness with the event as it was empowering to him. “I think we need more of these events as we are learning a lot. I wish government or Cashbuild can assist us with funding in the future,” stated Mr Samson Nyambi.
“We are passionate about adding true value in the communities that we serve, and these workshops are part of the initiatives that we will continue to partake in throughout our journey,” says Thembelani Tukwayo, Head of Community Support Initiatives at Cashbuild.
Improved and well-run businesses positively contribute to the local community. That is why Cashbuild will continue to be involved in community development and the empowerment of local business owners.
