Cashbuild donated garden tools and building materials to a community foundation in Bochum, Limpopo. The foundation was founded by the youth members of the community in 2017. The group servers as a vehicle to facilitate community development, youth, children and women empowerment. The organization focuses more on the agricultural sector and aims to support its community, especially the poor, unemployed and historically disadvantaged families.

Mr Ronald Matsheta, managing director of Inveraan Youth Community Foundation, expressed his gratitude to Cashbuild and said, “we would like to thank Cashbuild for their generous donation of agricultural tools. We are extremely grateful for the donation. The tools donated will assist us to quickly remove the grass and plant as much beetroot crop as possible. This will bring trust and reliability between our clients and us during harvest. Lastly, this donation will help us in the fight to alleviate poverty. We have planted approximately 5 000 beetroot crops and are busy using the forks donated to remove grass; we have 25 young people as volunteers working 8 hours a day for two days and 16 hours a week, sometimes 4 hours for four days.”

Mr Thembelani Tukwayo, Head of Community Support Initiatives of Cashbuild, said, “we saw it fitting that we assist the foundation. Unemployment continues to affect our youth, and with this, they will be able to receive income and feed their families once they start selling. Material donated to the foundation is as follows 2 x water tanks, 6 x garden forks, 6 × spades, 20 × 20 meters of green housing(tent), 2 x wheelbarrows, 6 x leave rakes, and 4 x garden rakes. All the above mentioned we believe will help assist towards the production of their crops.”
